In an increasingly unstable world,
hope is still the most important thing.
This month, we are sharing some of our “hope highlights” from the last 4 weeks.
May these short stories bring you hope.
Better Together
Life Launch Program Manager Kat attended a monthly meeting with the Care Portal leaders and others working together in the community.
This mighty group discussed specific needs that need to be met, how to support each other, and shared resources with one another.
"It is a great meeting and is always so fruitful!" Kat says. "Care Portal and this group have been amazing at helping Life Launch find mentors and referring new mentees to our program."
We are grateful for our partners like Care Portal - we couldn't serve young adults aging out of foster care in Oklahoma without the support of others.

Isaiah 58
Life Launch Program Manager Alicia spoke at an event held at Isaiah 58 last month.
Alicia spoke all about foster care - her family as a foster care parent, and Stand in the Gap's Life Launch program serving young adults aging out of foster care.
Our wonderful DHS partner Jake was also there! He sends Alicia referrals for young adults aging out of foster care.
Our Hereos
These are the real heroes right here - Dagny, Howard and Debra, thank you for being repeat volunteers with our Women in Transition program.
Serving formerly incarcerated women in Oklahoma would not be possible without volunteers like you. We appreciate your investment in peoples lives!

Freezer Meals for Widows
This ministry welcomed us with open arms as our Widow Program Director Amy learned their model by putting freezer meals together with the ladies at Under His Wings.
Stand in the Gap is always grateful when it gets to lock arms with other organizations - we are all better together!
When Practical Needs Are Met
One of the church partners for our widow program, Harvard Avenue Christian, recently started the Home Maintenance - Practical Needs portion of our Toolkit and came back with such an encouraging story -
They were able to go help a widow who is involved in their Widow Ministry small group with the quickest, smallest task - that ended up meaning so much to both the widow and the handy-man 💜 💜
WIT Grad KC
We celbrated KC this month on her Women in Transition graduation at Heathers Hope in Comanche, Oklahoma 🎉
We are so proud of you, KC, and are looking forward to seeing all God has for you next!
