In an increasingly unstable world,
hope is still the most important thing.
This month, we are sharing some of our “hope highlights” from the last 4 weeks.
May these short stories bring you hope.
Find Comfort
Amanda began attending the Young Widows Support Group in 2017 after connecting with Melissa Phenicie, Stand in the Gap partner who helps facilitate the Widows program at Asbury United Methodist Church.
“Melissa and Shae are both so sweet," Amanda says, "They always remind us that anxiety does not come from the Lord. I really like the groups because we can talk about stuff others don’t understand.”

Team Faith
Help us welcome Faith to the Stand in the Gap family!
She just started with her Women in Transition small group in western Oklahoma for Branch 15.
“Stand in the Gap has been such a blessing to me,” Faith says. “They are so supportive. They are helping me to restore my family and helping me learn more about my Creator. They are always there.”
Brothers for life
This past year Mason got his license, a car, car insurance, and two new jobs! He also started trade school studying engineering and coding in tandem with his high school classes. This path has resulted in a scholarship down the road!!
We have seen Mason grow in his trust, decision making and goal setting. His mentors say they are all three brothers for life. We are so proud of you, Mason!!! Happy Graduation!
Celebrating in 3, 2, 1...
Women in Transition graduation is around the corner for Tressie! Her small group has walked through some of the toughest times with her this past year. We are grateful to be in the home stretch with her!
"My small group has for sure been a blessing that I am forever grateful for," Tressie says. "Thank you for connecting me with them!"
Always happy to meet in the middle!
There is just something extra special about meeting together in person. With Stand in the Gap staff working in both the Tulsa area and Oklahoma City area, it’s not often our two teams are able to sit across from each other, face-to-face.
“We had a great team meeting in Stroud, OK,” Kathy, our Women in Transition Program Manager said. “What a great opportunity to bond and get to know each other!”
